Electivire is User Info: LigerZeroX I think that its stronger all around. User Info: dragonite Depends a bit on your preferences. Remember you need a trade to get electrivire. Electrivire is a bit faster, can attack with both stats effectively, and has a better movepool. Amphy is bulky, and notably easier to evolve.

Electivire has a great Attack stat and is great at running mixed, and with moves like Earthquake, Flamethrower, Dual Chop, Cross Chop, and Ice Punch, it has great coverage. It's also much faster than Ampharos and has a good ability in Motor Drive. Ampharos has better defenses, but falls prey to many special walls due to its mediocre Attack. Static is a good ability on Ampharos due to the fact that it can take many physical hits.

Ampharos doesn't have the coverage Electivire has, but it can rely on STAB to take out many things that don't resist. Overall, I'd go for Electivire. Its speed, movepool, and Attack allow it to take out many things.
