Can you visit atlantis without staying there

There is WiFi access in guest rooms, and at the front desk and lobby areas, but not throughout the resort. The daily per-room resort fee differs by hotel. While we are never fans of resort fees, we mind less when the resort fees cover impressive amenities like the Aquaventure waterpark. At Atlantis Resort Bahamas, the resort fee covers:. At Harborside Resort, guests do not pay the resort fee. Atlantis charges mandatory tips, much like cruises. You can choose to add an additional gratuity when signing the bill.

The Current has that name for a reason. The Current is similar to a lazy river, but without any laziness. My family did this over and over again.

No visitor to Atlantis should miss a chance to venture off property for a meal or shopping to explore all The Bahamas has to offer. During Spring Break, though, it can be a bit rowdy, so keep this in mind. One complaint I often hear from friends and family members after a trip to Atlantis is that they got bruises from the high-speed slides like the Leap of Faith, The Abyss and the Challenger.

I recommend rash guards and board shorts to protect your skin. String bikinis are a no-no unless you want to end your ride without your suit. Visit the Atlantis site for the most up-to-date rules and Bahamas travel restrictions for international travelers.

As of May 1, , international visitors who are fully vaccinated are exempt from required testing for entry to The Bahamas. The day you take the test is considered Day Zero. Once you have a negative test result, you must apply for a Bahamas Travel Health Visa for every member of your travel group, including children 10 and under.

Complete the health visa application online as soon as possible because it can take up to 48 hours to process. This fee covers mandatory health insurance. Children 10 years and under are free but still require a visa. All travelers age 11 and up are required to complete this short five-question survey each day of their trip, starting on their arrival date.

Parents can complete the survey on behalf of their children. If you stay in The Bahamas more than four nights, you will need to take another government-mandated Rapid Antigen test on Day 5 of your stay. Before returning to the United States, all travelers age 2 and up will need a negative Rapid Antigen Test.

Testing is done inside the hotels, but you will need to make an appointment. Be sure to do this upon arrival, so that you can take the test within three days of your planned re-entry to the U. Test results are returned within hours, so this process is not stressful.

Also, note that Atlantis is currently a cashless resort, so there is no need to bring Bahamian currency. While hurricanes are rare in The Bahamas, the Hurricane Dorian did a lot of damage there. You then have the option to rebook your vacation without penalties for a stay to be completed within one 1 year of the original arrival date, subject to terms and conditions. Other favourites for our children were the aquarium and the wavehouse softplay which is complimentary pm. The activities for the children in kids club were super fun too and my children actually asked to go which is unheard of!! The staff in the water park around the childrens pools were so caring and I felt my children were totally safe at all times. It is honestly a brilliant hotel and we cannot wait to return soon. Thank Atlantis for a brilliant holiday! We overall enjoyed the hotel.

Room was really good , large, comfortable and a nice good shower and bathroom, again with lots of room. A wait of mins for breakfast regardless of which location you went to which is again very poor for the cost of the place. Staff were also keen to rush you and we found the check in really poor - the lady gave us hardly any information about the hotel, what was happening etc which meant we weren't able to make the most of the visit until we found some things out late in the stay - we got most info talking to people in the pool!

A few of the things we wish we knew are listed below. Throughout the hotel, the staff were awful, with the exception of the lifeguards. Every other area we experienced, the staff were clueless of anything other than what their 1 job was.

The concierge for example, didn't know where the nearest toilet was to the lobby! I really can't cover how poor they were.

We had issues booking meals pretty much everywhere was fully booked pre 9pm when we arrived so we complained as the concierge didn't reply to us in advance when we tried to book tip - download the hotel app in advance and pre book a few weeks ahead of your visit for your preferred restaurants and times , the food and beverage manager came to see us whilst having dinner to discuss this - he introduced himself then left - didn't ask about the issues, whether it was sorted or anything!

Shows that the management were leading by example for me. Aside of the poor service, the pools are great - large, nice vibe and lots of sub loungers both by the pool and on the beach and no issues at all at getting a seat lots of people are in the waterpark during the day hence its rarely busy. Worth noting that we couldn't swim in the sea as there were lots of jellyfish - don't do what we watched many did and go in and get stung Water park was brilliant and worth the price of the room alone - we as a couple didn't think we'd go more than a day and instead went everyday - it was brilliant!

The hotel has many families staying in fact, that's the majority of guests i'd say! Inside the waterpark, theres something for all ages and so many slides to keep you busy for a week! Lots of sun loungers, a towel is included from the huts using your white band. Lots of food options as well which you can charge to your room which is handy to avoid carrying too much.

There are lot of flip flop stands as well next to each tower of slides and dotted around the park. Restaurants are pretty good. We ended up eating at 9pm each evening, outside ok some nights but others it was too hot as a result of getting what was left - we also had a choice of only a few places as places like Nobu, where we would like to have tried, was full the whole time we were there.

Same for the other more popular restaurants and the 'better' pay extra ones like Hakassan. We had the half board so got a good menu choice in each place we ate at the Lebanese food nice, very poor service , Gordon Ramsey good service, ok food , Wavehouse nice food but far too quick - starter and main served inside 25 mins! We also had a drinks package which although only having one choice of wine not ideal if you don't like that one type! The service across the restaurants was appalling - they simply weren't interested and were never available - chatting to some, they were all new after COVID.

Ok, that's the case in a lot of places but you're still paying the same prices so a much better service is needed. The food and environments are nice but until the service gets better, you might be better off going outside of the hotel until they get up to speed post COVID. The aquarium is a really good touch and you get to go in for free, shopping is nice for a walk around at night and there is a good path along the beach for a post dinner walk!

Its a big hotel so does take a while to walk around! Other things we wish we knew were that there was a happy hour in shore next to the pool from and another in wavehouse from which is a nice place to watch the people trying the wave machine! They are really let down by the very poor level of the staff. For a family, i think most would really enjoy this hotel, for couples and others, if you'll get use out of the waterpark then go for it and enjoy the place and its restaurants the range is good and prices not awaful if the service can improve but take note of some of the tips and plan your stay to get the most out of it.

We stayed at Atlantis October half term. We had a lovely time overall but felt the quality of experience was not up to the standard we had expected. The hotel was very busy and it seemed to not be able to cope with the volume of guests. We queued 20 minutes every day for breakfast, restaurants were already fully booked for the week, it was impossible to get sun loungers and the activities they placed on the schedule seemed to be cancelled last minute.

We chose Atlantis from the countless amount of other hotels available in Dubai because we wanted something a little more special but left feeling disappointed. To make matters worse on the last night we were kept awake by an event at White Beach just beneath our room. Without exaggeration our room was as loud as a nightclub with thumping music. We had two young children aged 3 and 6 unable to sleep and it went on until midnight and typically we had to leave at 4am next morning to catch our flight home.

We tried by phone and in person at reception to get someone to care that we couldn't sleep but just received shrugged shoulders there was nothing anyone could do. We gave up in the end but subsequently it ruined our last night. I'm told they have this event every Friday so ask not to stay in the West Tower!

On the upside the water park was amazing and we were able to go every day which was a bonus. The children loved the aquarium and we had a lovely room. Overall it's a great hotel but we felt let down. I'd probably explore another option if we returned to Dubai. I also attempted to raise some of these issues with the hotel but have had my email ignored to date. Everything exceeded or met expectations. We stayed half board and the food was really good and the choice of restaurants included in the half board package was very good.

When dining in the restaurants the menu wasn't restricted a lot like some hotels. We had great meals in both buffet restaurants, Ramsays, Ronda Locatelli and the Wavehouse. Make sure you book some in advance as on days we hadn't booked we struggled to get the time we wanted. Download the app and you can book through that easily.

The pools were great and a perfect temperature slightly chilled given how hot the temperatures when we were there. The kids pool especially was good as it is really shallow in places yet is still a big pool so never felt too crowded. The waterpark is first class and reviews suggesting you don't have time to go on every slide are not untrue, there are so many!

All staff we encountered, especially in the buffet restaurants and waterpark was really friendly and helpful and our kids loved them. For families, Wavehouse is perfect. The soft play is free and you can leave the children to play while you have a drink in the bar a few metres away, they give you a buzzer to let you know when the kids want to come out.

As per other reviews they did have items on our bill that were not correct which was dissapointing but they removed them with no issues. All in all a fantastic holiday and I'd go back in a heart beat. We stayed at Atlantis The Palm for one night but enjoyed the Hotel facilities for the second day as well Water Park is amazing, so is the lost chambers breakfast buffet was lavish breakfast is served in 2 restaurants saffron and kaleidoscope.

But if you upgrade to imperial club membership you can also enjoy breakfast at sea fire and at the club as well. Due to which we were able to really explore the property. There are 3 restaurants for dinner also but should enjoy dinner at Wavehouse. When I decided to do a stay cation for summer break, one night at Atlantis was top of my list. Atlantis is a luxury and calm time Hotel which has all the facilities The travelers may need from their trip.

The staffs are polite and supportive and you receive a lot of energy in this Hotel. At the time of check in they came to know that it is my sons birthday and they provided us a cake.

The aqua adventure Water park remains excellent with a wide variety of attraction, as well as a relaxing Sun bed area, and also the aquarium in the Hotel is a sight to behold my friend went into the tank to walk around with the fish!
